Maria

Baker

Maria grew up just south of Minneapolis. She is the youngest of three...four if you count their dog, Dante. As they grew up, Maria enjoyed cooking on occassion but only as a hobby. She wanted to be many things but she could never narrow it down. It didn't help that as she was getting closer and closer to graduating high school and still didn't know what to do.

So in her junior year of high school, Maria went to work for a restaurant for the summer.

One day when Maria was working, one of the cooks did not show up to work and the kitchen was struggling to keep up with filling out their orders.

Maria's manager asked if Maria could help, knowing that Maria enjoys cooking and would be a helping hand.

Maria hesitated for a moment and then agreed. She got a quick run down of kitchen safety and helped.

It didn't take long until Maria got the hang of things in the kitchen and she immediately know what she wanted to do.
