Mexican bread first began when the Spanish and French arrived from Europe when they were conquering the Americas.

Mainly the French and Italians brought over their baking strategies bread, which was a common staple at the time.

While bread was not a popular at first, it slowly became popular over time. The people slowly adapted their bread so that it was no longer specifically French or Italian. Designs, flavors, and recipes soon became Mexican and a large part of the culture that it is today.

Just imagine a large Mexican bread that is sitting on a colorful plate. The bread, taking up most of it and why wouldn't it? It is bread. It is life. Noticing the sprinkles of the sugar on top of the light brown pillow of goodness.

The bread is so soft. It simply bounces back to its previous form. Almost mocking you...daring you to do it again.

Now, sitting next to the bread is a warm mug of coffee. The evapores escaping the top, as if were a steam engine. Then quickly disappearing as if it was never there.

Now, mexican bread isn't normal, one does not need to have any utensils. One just has to pick it up with their hands and take a large bite.

As the bite is taken, the sugar greets the tongue with a happy 'hello'. Creating small fireworks and the light and pillowly dough is simply vehicle to carrying the sugary goodness.

...So, are you hungry yet?
